El idioma Artista/ The Artist language

Si hay algo que no he conseguido aprender en todos los años que llevo en Bellas Artes es el "idioma artista". El "idioma artista" consiste en mezclar una gran cantidad de palabras pedantes e ideas abstractas para aparentar que se tiene un amplio conocimiento artístico-intelectual, cuando en realidad no estás diciendo absolutamente nada.

Este lenguaje es utilizado en todas las categorías artísticas, pero cobra una gran fuerza en el terreno de la escultura. Para que os hagáis una idea de lo que hablo os pondré por ejemplo el enunciado de un proyecto que hicimos en segundo:

"El alumno deberá realizar una obra no figurativa que posea una estructura interna y una estructura externa. Una de las estructuras deberá prevalecer sobre la otra, pero la estructura dominante deberá ser interrumpida por la no-dominante. El resultado final ha de ser conciso y de rápida lectura visual."

¿Que qué quería decir con eso? A día de hoy sigo sin saberlo, pero le gustó el gurruño de restos de cosas de la taquilla que pegué entre sí (yo y la escultura, enemigos naturales).

Hay gente que le pilla el truco enseguida, pero si de mi dependiera crearía una asignatura llamada "Introducción al lenguaje artista, o como venderte como un genio haciendo mierdas". Aunque mejor no, que seguro que no la aprobaría.

If there's something I couldn't learn in all the years I've been on Fine Arts is the "artist language". The "artist language" consists of a mixture of a great amount of pedantic words and abstract ideas to show off a full artistic-intellectual knowledge, when you are saying absolutely nothing.

This language is used in all kind of arts, but it is really important on the sculpture field. I'll show you an example using the statement of a project we made at second year:

"The student must make a non-figurative work of art that posses an internal and external structure. One of the structures must impose to the other, but the dominant structure have to be interrupted by the non-dominant. The result must be concise and visually easy to read."

You could wonder "what did he mean by that?", I still have no idea, but he liked the amount of garbage I glued (sculpture and me, not good friends at all).

Some people learn really quick how to use it, but if I could do something I would create a subject called "Introduction to the artist language, or how to sell yourself as a genius doing craps". 

Well, maybe it's better not to do it... I would probably fail it.
