La chica pijama /The pajama's girl

This is Anna, my other greek sigatikos from downstairs apartment. She is also going back to Greece like Maria, and I will also miss her.
As you can see for her outfit, she is the pajama's girl. It doesn't matter what time it is, if you go to see her she will always be like this: putting the washing machine, eating, studying, chatting, in a party...well, for the party she always dress up, but the pre-drinking at home she always does it in pajamas.

Maria mu

S'agapo!

This is Maria, she is my greek "sigatikos"(rommie). The 3rd of March she is going back to Thessaloniki, and with her, a little part of my heart.

Who is going to knock my door in the mornings screaming "Kalimera Albita mu!!!"? Who is going to cover me with a blanket when I take a nap? Who is going to teach me Greek? Who I'm going to make fun with of her hair when she takes a shower? Who is going to cook a cheesse cake as delicius as hers? Who??
Maria, you are the best, let's go have some beers in your honor! S'agapo!

After the great succes of my haircut ("Have you really cut it by yourself?","But it has the same lenght for all the sides!") thousends of petitions for look changes has come to me (and by thousends I mean one), so for the cheap price of a cup of coffee I took the scissors and cut Ana's hair.
She looks amazing, and the one who says the opposite lies.

Ugh!

Last night my roomate Maria prepared Strogonoff. Delicius. Too bad that my stomach didn't think the same a couple of hours after. I should stop having pepper for dinner. Ugh!

Tamborrada 2011

Yesterday, January's 19th, was San Sebastian's eve. That night you have dinner in family (at least I do) and at 12 o'clock everybody goes to the Constitution plaza, to play San Sebastian's hymn while the mayor hoists the flag.
But this year I'm in Porto...Lucky me I have some amazing friends that they have make me live the party as I was there (even the "I can't move" sensation from the crowded plaza).
They didn't play really well the drums, but they did their best.
But of course they ate the gulas and the txistorra that my parents sent me like professionals.

AΣΠ

Oh, my god! We've create a monster!

Yes, Sergio's and mine adiction to "Greek" tv serie has turn us mad. We've form our own fraternity, called AΣΠ (alfa sigma pi) and now we are President and Social President.
For the moment we have made some t-shirts with the letters y we have personalized agendas for our "events".
To all those who want to join our fraternity as pledges just make us know, we are wishing to share our wisdom with our "littles brothers".

Ama el avión, odia el aeropuerto/ Love the airplane, hate the airport

Holidays are over, and I'm back to my portuguese home, but not before passing by a pair of altercations.
I must say that the story that I'm going to tell happened on the way Porto-Madrid, Madrid-Porto has for another entry.
It began with the arrival at the airport. Due to bad weather in northern Europe, the planes were delayed or were canceled, so the gates were full of seaten passengers with their luggage looking like homeless people. So I decided to go and try to get a coffee.
There was a queue of 20 minutes, and a lot of old portuguese men were trying to skip it, but I managed to get an expresso. The bad luck was that when I was taking the first sip, the bag that I had on my arm decided to break itself and the coffee flew trough the air to my head.
Swift and fast as anyone I went to the bathroom (luggage, coat and laptop included) to try to save my dignity. I though I was saved when I saw the hand's paper, which I did not expect was a puddle on the floor that made me slip and fall on my ass in front of a couple of ladies.
Thank God my plane left only 45 minutes late, without any strange incident on the flight.
But of course my curse with airports was just in stand-by until my arrival in Madrid.
My friend Elena and my aunt Pili were waiting for me in Terminal 1. What was the surprise when I, just me, walked out from Terminal 2. Do not ask, neither I do understand it.
At the end we met eachother, but please, next travel I want to do it with some else.
